Everything you need to know before you support an innovator through the OCIIP Innovation Registry.
OCIIP is a non-profit organisation registered in Nigeria as an Incorporated Trustee. Since 2018, we have supported innovators, inventors, and researchers across Africa and beyond. The Innovation Registry is our public platform for connecting innovators with supporters who want to help bring their work to life.
We are not a crowdfunding investment platform. We do not sell equity, offer financial returns, or operate as a marketplace. Every contribution made through the Registry is a voluntary charitable donation in support of an innovator's work.
When you support an innovation, your donation is processed by Paystack (a licensed payment processor regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria) and paid into OCIIP's corporate account. OCIIP then transfers the funds directly to the innovator's OCIIP wallet within 3 business days.
OCIIP retains a 10% administrative fee to cover:
The remaining 90% goes directly to the innovator.
